Problems with playing wmv video files

During the development we came across a problem with watching wmv video files, which is that Windows Media Player sometime associate itself with these files type and try to play them. Strangely, if this happens and you try to play a wmv file, Microsoft Media Play can report an error that it is unable to play the file.

One way to solve this is:
a) indicate in the Windows Media Player that it should not associate itself with this file type (you can find in the menu under “more options” / “file types”
b) Install another player, for example RealPlayer
c) In the internet browser you also have to indicate that wmv file should not be played by Windows Media Player. For example in Monzilla FireFox, you can find this option under “Tools”/ “Options” / “Content”/ “Manage” file type
